God of Creation

I was reminded of God’s beauty of creation when I visited the radiant country of Ghana. While there, my family and I got a chance to visit the world renown Kakum National Park. It is located in one of the exquisite rainforests of Africa. Kakum National Park is the home to many butterflies, birds, and wildlife animals. It is particularly known for its canopy walkway that suspends an astounding 30 meters above the ground.

Upon arrival, I was beyond excited to go on this new adventure. I’ve always been a person that loves nature, animals, and any outdoor activity. I felt like a little kid in a candy store! As I entered the rainforest, my eyes couldn’t help but be captivated by the  enormous trees that surrounded me. I’ve never seen such tall and strong trees! To think that God created these trees was mind-blowing.

In order for us to reach the canopy walk, we had to travel up several flights of stairs. Before this point, I had no idea I was going to get a work-out in over 100-degree weather!  However, I was up for the challenge! (Can’t exactly say my parents felt the same haha)

After many steps and many stops, we finally arrived. As soon as I took the first step onto the canopy walk, I completely forgot about my tired body and the scorching heat. All I could think about is what my eyes were beholding. The treetop view of the rainforest was absolutely breathtaking! My first thought was, “This is God…This is God..THIS..IS..GOD!” Every tree, every bird, every branch, every flying creature, every cloud, and every SINGLE THING screamed the glory of God! I didn’t know whether to scream from the top of my lungs or to cry from the depths of my soul. One thing was true, I was completely in AWE of the God of Creation.

I think sometimes in this life, it’s easy for us to forget how powerful and amazing God is. Life has a way of distracting us from the reality that God is the ULTIMATE CREATOR.

Romans 1:19-20 says, “The truth about God is plain to them. God has made it plain. Ever since the world was created it has been possible to see the qualities of God that are not seen. I’m talking about His eternal power and about the fact that He is God. Those things can be seen in what He has made. So, people have no excuse for what they do.”

I want to encourage both you and me to stand in AWE of God everyday. His beautiful creations are all around us! We just have to be willing to open up our eyes to truly SEE THEM! We serve a God who created every beautiful and good thing on this earth !

“Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds. And it was so. The land produced vegetation; plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.”-Genesis 1:11-12

He is the God of the grass.

He is the God of the trees.

He is the God of the seas.

He is the God of the stars.

He is the God of the rainforest.

He is the God of the desert.

He is the God of the sun and the moon.

He is the God of the galaxy.

He is the God of the ant.

He is the God of the wildebeest.

He is the God of the rain.

He is the God of the wind.

He is the God of you.

He is the God of me.

He is the God of EVERYTHING!

God is the Master Artist. He is the very definition of creativity. He is the quintessential essence of Creative and Powerful. BY HIM all things were created and IN HIM all things find its purpose and meaning. We serve a magnificent God!  The detailed and divine artistry that was put into making this world screams of His glory and love.

There is no place in this world that does not have the fingerprints of God over it. Let’s never get too busy, too tired, too distracted, or too sad to not  rejoice and praise the God of Creation. He loves us so much! This world is a testament of His amazing love for you and I!

“For in Him all things were created; things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.” –Colossians 1:16-18
