All we have is RIGHT NOW<\/strong>. Yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not promised. God did not instruct us to live in the past or to live in the future, but to live in the present moment<\/em> and to continually thank Him for it. Many times we stress ourselves out worrying about things that haven’t happened yet. We need to take life one step at a time.<\/strong> Just like you can’t climb Mount Everest in just a few steps, life\u2019s journey usually cannot be completed in just one day. So, let’s relax and view each day as a step. We do this by simply asking the Lord to give us the strength and faith that’s needed for today.<\/strong> What good will it do for you to worry about the mountain as a whole instead of the steps of the journey? \u00a0It will not profit you anything.<\/span><\/p>\n

Matthew 6:3″Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n


\n<\/span>I know it\u2019s not easy taking things one step at a time. I\u2019ve been there before, and many days I still find myself there. I often find myself trying to tell God how my life is supposed to go instead of trusting Him to guide every step of it for me. Whenever I find myself getting out of step with God, or trying to orchestrate the next step of my life, I like to go to this passage in Psalms.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span>Psalm 119:105 \u201cThy word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.\u201d<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n


\n<\/span>When I used to read this passage I would simply think, \u201cOkay, Lord, your word is going to tell me where I should go in life. I got it!\u201d But as I grew in my walk with Christ and meditated on this passage, it developed a much deeper meaning to me. I had to increase my understanding of what lamps meant to the generations before me. I learned that long before there were street lights or flashlights that could illuminate several feet of light down a dark path, individuals used lamps or candles. These lamps only had the ability to project JUST enough light for you to see your next step.<\/strong> Therefore, they understood exactly what the psalmist was saying to them when he penned this passage. Wow! Crazy right? They carefully took one step and depended on their lanterns to provide light and direction for their next step.<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>When I first studied this passage I said, \u201cLord are you telling me that with each day your word has the ability to light my path just enough for that day\u2019s step?” Then I thought to myself, \u201cLord, How will I know which direction to take with my next step?\u201d I soon began to understand and love the message mentioned later on in this verse, \u201c…and a light unto my path.\u201d<\/em> Not only is the Word of God a lamp unto our feet, but it\u2019s a light unto our path.<\/span><\/p>\n


\n<\/span> A path is defined as a route or course along which something or someone moves. With this being said, as long as we walk forward with God in His word, He will lay out the path for us and He will continue to provide light to guide us along the way. God\u2019s word is not only our light, but our own personal GPS!<\/strong> It has the ability to light and direct our next step and lay out the path for our future. <\/span><\/p>\n

Jeremiah 29:11\u00a0<\/span>For I know the plans I have for you,\u201d declares the Lord, \u201cplans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” <\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Isn\u2019t God so awesome? We literally have NOTHING<\/strong> to worry about because God\u2019s word has the ability to properly light and direct our next step. Isn’t it God who said, \u201cLet there be light!!\u201d Don\u2019t we serve an amazing God? He has provided everything we need<\/strong> in His word to get over our mountain called life.<\/span><\/p>\n

\n<\/span>So, I want you to ask yourself, \u201c[Insert Your name Here] what is there for me to worry about?\u201d NOTHING!<\/strong> Your job is to simply climb the mountain of life ONE STEP AT A TIME<\/strong> and allow God\u2019s word to be the guiding light for each step you take. Trust God\u2019s process. Stop being in a hurry to reach the top of the mountain. Enjoy the valuable lessons and blessings we experience during the daily climb. Simply trust God, follow His Word, and ask Him for the strength and faith to take today\u2019s step. Remember\u2026 \u201cOne step at a time\u2026\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
